Best Romantic Dinner Locations in Paris

A trip to Paris with your amour would be incomplete without an incredibly romantic dinner. For the French, food is not only love, but it is an art form, making Paris the perfect place to plan a dinner date-night. With places to eat on every corner, choosing the right romantic restaurant can be overwhelming, but I’ve come up with my top 5 romantic dinner ideas in Paris to help you out. Bon Appetit!

Le Jules Verne

No list of “the most romantic restaurants in Paris” is complete without including the Jules Verne. It is impossible to ignore the romanticism of dining 410 feet above Paris, inside the Eiffel Tower while overlooking the entire city and in the kitchen, Frédéric Anton, a 3-starred Michelin Chef. With tasting menus for Lunch and Dinner and a spectacular view, dining at le Jules Verne is an unforgettable experience. Be sure to make a reservation and dress accordingly: the dress-code is ‘Smart-Casual.’

Pamela Popo

Located in the very trendy neighborhood of Le Marais, Pamela Popo is a fun, eclectic restaurant with a vintage vibe that is sure to charm the heck out of your date. A small but excellently thought out menu awaits you. In the warm summer evenings, try to get a table on the terrace – but if you can’t the inside is just as wonderful!

Dinner on a boat

For me, a romantic dinner needs to include a great view. What view could be better than one from the Seine itself? There are several companies that offer dinner cruises along the famous Parisian river. On these excursions, not only are the meals elegant, but you pass many of Paris’s most romantic and iconic landmarks. Many of the dinner cruises come with optional upgrades, champagne, cheese or even a dedicated window view: all things that can seriously up the amour-factor.

Lapérouse

A long-standing tradition in Paris, Lapérouse drips of French history, culture and elegance – all of which make for an unforgettable dinner. Founded in the late 1700s, the restaurant boasts some pretty famous clientele. Lapérouse is famous for many hush-hush rendez-vous between the well-connected and their lovers as well as being a literary salon in its own right, frequented by the likes of Victor Hugo and Emile Zola.  For clandestine Belle Epoque vibes, Lapérouse is right up your alley.

A picnic along the Seine

Okay, so this isn’t technically a restaurant, but it is as romantic as the rest (maybe more…). There are plenty of places along the Seine to sit; stretch out a blanket, cuddle up with your chéri(e), pop open a bottle of wine, or bubbles, and enjoy the beauty of the city of lights. Get a couple of baguettes, some cheese and some fruit and voilà, the most romantic (and budget friendly) dinner you could hope for.
