Books are the foundation to EVERYTHING! If you want to learn something new or get inside another person’s head. Books give us empathy and the power to feel and live through others. Also a great practically free resource to teach yourself something new! Including how to market, have fun, or start that biz you have been dreaming of! Here is a list of my favorites that never grow old when it comes to sparking imagination and creativity.
The Artist’s Way: A Spiritual Path to Higher Creativity by Julia Cameron
This book was life changing for me it included little tips that helped me reconnect with doing the things I love and helped me to recover from burnout. If you are someone feeling lost or hopeless in what you are currently doing, this book could be a great start to recovery.
Steal Like an Artist: 10 Things Nobody Told You About Being Creative by Austin Kleon
In this book I learned that nothing is original and THAT’S OKAY!
That was eye opening for me. It’s a short fun read that will open your mind to avoiding things you always wanted to do for fear of stealing someone else’s idea!
Creative Confidence, by David and Tom Kelley
Many artists struggle with confidence. Even as I am writing this, I am thinking who am I to give advice on creativity?!
But this book will help you push through these useless thoughts and find the confidence to pursue the things you have been dreaming of.
